The Marrko core system of exercising is effective because it serves several purposes. The upper and lower body both get a great workout with one tool, and in a short period of time. No one-sided overworked group of muscles as is the case with sit-ups. Marrko core allows for a very thorough workout of ALL core muscles. No imbalance, no pain!
